The Challenge

Verbal+Visual was given a tight timeline to redesign and migrate the existing wMM store, and launch in time for New York Fashion Week. We were tasked with designing a digital experience with an artisanal feel, while highlighting and showcasing the clothing. We were also challenged with styling the Field Notes (the wMM blog) using unique layouts, while retaining the ability for the client to easily manage content.

The Solution

In the creation of the new where Mountains Meet digital experience, Verbal+Visual focused the attention on creating a smooth and sophisticated digital presence which promoted customer engagement by highlighting lifestyle imagery. The color palette is comprised of soft earth tones, drawing from the inspiration of the brand itself, and the funky layouts give the pages depth and evoke feelings of nature. By highlighting content related to the eco-friendliness of the brand, the end result is a digital experience with connects with the audience and encourages a deep dive into the “why” behind where Mountains Meet.

Field Notes are wMM’s version of a blog. With the emphasis on travel and inspiration, Verbal+Visual decided to go off script to create a digital magazine-like experience. The result is an inspiration-focused blog which ties back to the artisans, places, and people that make where Mountains Meet come to life.
