This Place is a female-centric CBD brand that focuses on calm and rejuvenation. We’ve recently launched their first ever brand site on Shopify Plus, with an international presence and a design aesthetic that matches the brand focus on calm.  With a catalog of four keystone products for launch, the site design gives each individual product a platform to educate customers on the unique benefits of each.

This Place brand falls under the parent company Sanity Care GmbH, whom we worked with on the VAAY site launch. Since we designed the first site in the Sanity Care portfolio in VAAY, we were able to leverage the same core infrastructure for the This Place site, allowing for two key advantages for the Sanity Care team.

Firstly, the Sanity Care team now has the flexibility to run the admin experience in exactly the same way for both sites, allowing them to make site updates, change creative assets, and add new site features that take effect across both sites.  As a result, a single e-commerce team or leader can be responsible for both brand sites in a very efficient manner, using the same operating procedures and CMS guidelines. As an agency partner, we can provide the same in-depth support to address admin concerns on both a site level and a company-wide level, maximizing efficiency and saving the Sanity Care team in long term costs.

Secondly, given that VAAY has a more established brand with more product categories, it would be easy to assume that the digital infrastructure of the site is overkill, and unnecessary for This Place. However, with the goal of having a long-term partnership in place, our teams decided it would be best to design a scaled down version of the VAAY site that can easily be scaled back up as the brand grows. 

With the same e-commerce team driving changes on both sites, we take learnings from one site and apply it to the other, and vice versa. When the time comes to expand the site’s functionality and design, we don’t have to deal with the transition brands often experience moving off of a Shopify theme to a custom build. We’re also able to implement tools like ReCharge for subscriptions and Yotpo for reviews hyper efficiently.

Ultimately, the This Place site speaks directly to the target audience, captures the brand, and leverages an intelligent and scalable system, working for both customers and administrators at a high level.
